New Terminal
Caticlan Airport
OTC developed terminal concepts for this gateway to the resort island of Boracay, as part of a planned airport expansion. The new airport terminal was planned to accommodate a mix of domestic and international traffic with provisions for both low-cost carrier (LCC) and full-service carrier operations, to be implemented in two main phases, ultimately including up to 20 contact gates and 8 remote stands. A high degree of flexibility is supported by a modular expansion concept and DOM/INT swing gates. The airside planning optimizes aircraft movement and parking on the limited site, while the landside planning provides comfortable access to a separate arrivals ground transportation center and a link to a new jetty with ferry service to Boracay.
Under a separate scope of work, OTC further developed the design of the selected concept in preparation for a design/build tender.
