Satellite Concourse

OTC was the airport terminal planner on this design competition submission for a new 29-gate Satellite Concourse, linked via an APM to the existing Terminal. OTC developed three alternative Concourse configurations, offering different solutions for apron layout, APM station access, retail hub, and A380 gate access. Safeguards were provided for future APM links to Satellite 2 and Terminal 2 on the other side of the airfield.
A separate concept design was developed for the expansion of the main terminal’s domestic processing area and changes to the airside domestic concourse, greatly improving Level of Service in existing facilities and providing innovative solutions for the flexible use of swing domestic / international gates.
